DSWD MIMAROPA through its Disaster Response Management Department (DRMD) conducted a consultation meeting with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA regarding the implementation guidelines for DOLE’s TUPAD and Risk Resiliency Program (RRP) initiative last May 10, 2024.

During the meeting, the discussion focused on the RRP execution, emphasizing the utilization of cash for training and cash for work programs to assist the affected families and addressing the challenges posed by the El Nino Phenomenon.

Further, the meeting also provided a clearer understanding of the implementation and the current status of funding allocation prior to engagement in the target LGUs.

During the meeting, OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Operations mentioned that the consultation meeting is an important step in strengthening collaborative efforts between government agencies to enhance disaster response and support for vulnerable communities in MIMAROPA.
