Spearheaded by Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), the celebration kicked off with an engaging four-day orientation in Calapan City from July 2-5. The Oriental and Occidental Mindoro Quick Response Teams (QRTs) dived into the latest DROMIC reporting guidelines and disaster operations protocols.
On July 16-19, regional and provincial personnel gathered at Berjaya Makati Hotel to participate in an advanced training on disaster response. The sessions were lively and informative which strengthen the disaster reporting and management skills of the participants.
Participants were provided a hands-on training session and learned how to operate and manage the newly built Mobile Command Center (MCC), gaining practical skills that will be invaluable during disaster response operations on July 19 at the DSWD MIMAROPA Conference Room.
The DSWD Angels in Red Vest showed incredible support during the bloodletting drive on July 26 at the DSWD MIMAROPA Conference Room, volunteers came out in droves to donate blood in partnership with Red Cross Philippines.
A crash course on Camp Coordination and Camp Management and Internally Displaced Persons Protection (CCCM and IDPP) was also conducted for DSWD personnel, further enhancing skills to support and protect those in need.
Wrapping up the Resilience Month with a heartfelt Eucharistic Celebration last July 31. It was a moment of reflection and gratitude, bringing the DSWD community together to celebrate collective efforts and the spirit of resilience.
