IN PHOTOS | Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) MIMAROPA, through its Risk Resiliency Program (RRP) focal persons, successfully carried out the Cash for Training and Work (CFT/W) initiative under Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access) at BINHI (Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished), held simultaneously in the municipalities of Gloria, Mansalay, Bulalacao, and Bansud in Oriental Mindoro from April 14 to 16, 2025.

A total of 1,100 partner beneficiaries received a total of 7,900.00 for the five (5) days Training and 15 days of Work. 

The successful implementation of the project was made possible through the active participation of key stakeholders, including the Provincial and Local Technical Working Groups, national government agencies, and the partner beneficiaries.

Project LAWA at BINHI aligns with the directive of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian to pursue sustainable and practical solutions in response to ongoing water and food shortages worsened by the El Niño and La Niña phenomena.
