CITY OF MANILA — To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of learning interventions in disaster response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA, through the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), conducted a Technical Assistance (TA) session focused on skills, knowledge, and collaboration capabilities for the DRMD’s Learning Management Team (LMT) on May 16, 2025, at the DRMD Emergency Operations Center.The activity was spearheaded by Director Sheila S. Tapia, Assistant Regional Director for Operations and Concurrent DRMD Division Chief, with the support of Angelyn S. Agundo, Administrative Officer V and Head of the Capacity Building Section (CBS), as a resource person.
Specifically, the session aimed to provide technical guidance to the DRMD LMT to further improve the quality of learning services delivered to the Quick Response Team (QRT), Local Government Units (LGUs), and other key partners.
Discussions covered key topics such as the components and development of activity/project proposals, an overview of TA forms and definitions, the roles and functions of the LMT, basic facilitation skills, and evaluation and documentation processes.
This initiative reflects DSWD MIMAROPA’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and response through continuous capacity building and inter-agency collaboration.
